Melbourne Aquatic Centre 24hr Mega Swim

May 4 & 5  @ Midday – Midnight

The MS 24-Hour Mega Swim is a fun team relay event where teams have a swimmer in the water for the entire 24 hours and compete for laps swum and money raised, in support for people living with multiple sclerosis. It is one of Australia’s most popular and fastest-growing fundraising events, bringing communities together. People of all ages and abilities can take part in the MS 24-Hour Mega Swim with each team creating a roster to suit each swimmer. Some swim for 10 minutes, others for 4 hours! The MS 24-Hour Mega Swim is a competition with points awarded to each team; 1 point for every $10 raised (banked funds) and 1 point for every 500m swim.

 

Crew Rowing – Come and Try

May 5 @ 10:00am – 11:30am

Ever wanted to try crew rowing, just like in the Olympics? Then get yourself along to the Y Rowing Centre at Albert Park Lake on the 1st Sunday of every month and get the basics from our friendly instructors. You can either join other beginners in a boat or bring your own crew of friends and have a row around our beautiful lake. Suitable for Teens and Adults of all ages. Step it up in 2019! Get your legs ready for the ultimate stair climb as we send you on a mission to climb the thousands of stairs up, down and around the grandstands of the mighty MCG. With full, short, unlimited and junior course options available there's a stair climb to suit all ages and fitness levels. Experience this stadium like never before as you sweat it out to music, killing some serious calories on the way.

The Presidents Cup is a series of men's golf matches between a team representing the United States and an International Team representing the rest of the world minus Europe. This year they are proud to hold the competition in our very own Melbourne city.
